Stained Glass French Tip Nails

So this was a hard one to come up with a name for. My mom thought of a stained glass when she saw it, but the "stained glass" only appears on the tip, like a french tip, so there you go! This one isn't too hard, but you might want to practice drawing lines! (Yeah, I know, I need some practice too.)
The key to this design is really just choosing colors! I love teal, so I always go with teal, since I have the widest selection of blues and greens, and the white just made the colors pop a little. Enjoy the tutorial :)

1. Choose some base colors that match! Don't be afraid to take a risk, because you can MAKE the colors match by altering the french tip.. or maybe it'll look good clashy. Don't forget the base coat to protect your nails, then put on the base color, then draw some black lines across. If they're messy, it's okay, because  you get a second chance later when you go over them again in step 3.
2. Use the colors that you used for base colors + some other colors for the glass part of the "stained glass". I prefer using brighter colors, so I added in yellow and mint green.
3. Redraw the horizontal black line, try to be as straight as possible! And draw in vertical lines to straighten out the colors.
4. Draw a fun design on your ring finger! Of it you want to do stained glass tips for all of them, do that!
5. LET IT DRY, then use top coat. Sech Vite <3 smoothed out all the bumps. But I did it too early, so the black got smudged :( Guys, learn from my mistakes.

Please comment below if you want any specific names of polishes :)
hint hint: if your brush isn't thin enough, cut off some of the bristles on the side!

Tiffy's Prom Nails

Somehow, we finished under 30 minutes! I used Revlon for the blue base and a silver polish I got at Watson's; a nice and simple to match Tiffany's dress and jewelry for prom. On each finger, there are 2 feathery lines and a silver flower with a blue glitter for the middle. the blue glitter is from The Face Shop. On the thumb, I put a little twist on it, as you can see (:.

Tiffy, your nails are so small so qq!

with the whole outfit :)
^ Allll creds to... ionno Tiff's mom?

I just had to add this in, too cute, and credits to Daryl Tong!

Daisies on Nude and Gold Polish

My favorite flowers are blue daisies, but white daisies and pretty too! This is kind of a mature look, especially since the ruddish nude color + nude just produces that kind of feel to it, but the daisies bring them back to life! and all you need is a small dotter and some normal cheapo striper brushes. Hinthint-winkwink-nudgenudge: Try cutting some of the hairs off the brush to make it thinner, if you think it's too thick

Teal and Magenta set of fingernails and toenails

Simple, just a stripe but they're super cute! Makes you look twice and sort of go like wtf? My sister thought my nails cracked in half =__=

I love gradients.

Last Spring Fair

These are the nail art designs I prepared to paint for the kids at Spring Fair. Surprisingly, the biggest challenge was not keeping the still. It was finding a way to paint long bunny ears on tiny tiny nails!

So Cute B)

While the kids are waiting for you to paint the other hand, they might lean over and their heads might accidentally cover their nails. Or they might fidget and their other hand gets ruined. So genius Heejo told them to blow lightly on their nails!

I've had these customers every fair!! Love them :) They grew up so much!! The older sister had mint green with brown bears and the little sister had strawberries (again~)

Her twin is right behind her!!! This girl has the most beautiful eyes, I swear.

Look at this cute!!! How could you resist!!! She and the girl on the photo right before this are sisters!!! What a freaking beautiful family. I told their mom that her kids were beautiful hahaha don't know if she was creeped out or flattered...

Tina's first customer, I believe! Sososo cute, and of course, the nails turned out great because Tina is an awesome artist (+perfectionist!)

I'm going to miss Spring Fair so much!! Even though we're always swamped and many of my polishes and brushes are ruined by the end of the day, getting to interact with little kids and see them happily wave goodbye while protecting their freshly painted nails is ALL WORTH IT. Makes me want to open up a kiddie salon actually!

Painted My Keys with Nail Polish!

With extra polish, you can paint your keys!!!

My keys already had horizontal ridges on them, so I just made sure to stay in the lines and they came out okay! I covered the green polish with a layer of Glow-in-the-Dark polish from Forever21, then 2 coats of Seche Vite. They should last for a while! This way, even in the dark, I'll be able to find my keys :D

The blue thing is my door beeper, and instead of making it glow in the dark, I painted over a thin layer of glitter polish to make it shiny.

This was so much fun, and I can't wait until the paint chips away so I can paint them over!!!

Mint Green Swirls

Vivienne0310 is my instagram name, btdubs
I used a mint green polish that faded into white, and then used green acrylic paint with a little bit of silver mixed in to draw the dark green swirls. The mint green bottle of nail polish is adorable; I think it's a korean brand, but it doesn't say very clearly on the bottle. If you ever see it, and it's 99 NT or maybe around $5 USD, BUY IT the formula's great, the colors are true, and this should be a collector's bottle or something.

Castle Walls, 18th Birthday Nails (Pink Flowery), and Heart Patterns

Try scaling and castle wall.
Essie's matte about you has to be the best matte top coat there is. It dries super fast, protects my nail polish, and never blurs anything out.

Happy birthday to me :) on March 10th. The background layer is Chanel's English Rose. I've had the polish for YEARS and it's still beautiful and the formula is still perfecttttt :)

I wanted to practice my hearts, and I got the gradient heart from a SimpleNailArtDesigns video. She did it so nicely, go check it out!

Dream Catcher and Feather Nails

This design has been getting popular for a while now, and I just had to try it. Dream catchers are harder than I thought!
I edited this photo pretty badly... but the lighting was horrible to begin with :(
The feathers are white and silver, kind of a dove-feel to them, and the dream catchers are more colorful with the orange, yellow, blue beads.
How do you say dream catcher in chinese?

Meep Sheep

Meep Sheep, on my mom's nails.
Teal is just the prettiest color in my opinion, and I think it makes my mom's skin and my skin look lighter and nicer. Plus, sheep are just adorable. My mom is never patient enough to let my clean up the extra polish on the side :(

Donut French Tips

I just ate some Mister Donut doughnuts, the Pon De Ring kind or something:
strawberry and chocolate <3

Oftentimes, my inspiration comes from food :)

This manicure is fairly simple, looks like a cute version of french nails, right? All you need is a bigger size dotter and dot the tips of your nails. color in the spots you don't get with a quick swipe of your nail polish brush, and your done!

Chinese New Year

Since I'm Taiwanese, and Chinese New Year is a big deal, our families all get together every year sometime in February. The elders give us red money bags, we eat a lot, and play games, but recently, we added on a new unofficial tradition- painting nails! So every year, I assemble a box of polishes that I think my relatives will like with designs in mind, and after dinner, they stretch out their hands and I paint away!

These are actually mine. My mom thought of lanterns when she saw it, so instead of just calling this "CNY Nails", it is now called "Golden Lanterns for Chinese New Year Nails". Haha.

I love gradients.

For my oldest aunt! This is actually a lot pinker, but the lighting wasn't the greatest, and I don't have time to edit them now. My aunt's nails are really wide and really long.. I LOVE THEM it's like an XL canvas.

My second aunt is very cutesie and loves things like Hello Kitty, so I thought she might like these simple glittery cherry blossoms.

My second aunt's other hand- roses. And she's holding my favorite color of all time from The Face Shop. There's not really a name for it; just look for the glittery white bottle.

My older cousin. Black matte to go with his leather jacket! He only let me paint his nails, because his mom said that if he didn't bite them, she'd give him money. He thought that having nail polish on them would make them taste bad or something, but I don't think it worked!?

My grammaaaaa on my dad's side. She usually likes purplish pinkish shiny colors, but they usually don't match her skin tone. I tried this color, which I think is better, but I think next time, she'll stick with her purplish pinkish colors.

My older cousin has really tiny nails! She had a lot of fun experimenting with colors and using my dotter. I only painted her index, ring, and pinky fingers!
